Halfway through my last year of highschool with these people I love

I know that I shouldn't be thinking that way, but it's kind of hard not to. This semester has just flown by, and I didn't think it would. I knew this year would be so busy and so tiring that I thought it would never end. And to be completely honest it's not even close to ending, even though it's halfway through. Next semester has the musical, show choir competition season, Taylor's graduation (!!!),  Carnegie Hall, and graduation. Pray for me.

Despite how crazy it's been, I could not have had better friends to stick it out with. Just looking at that bottom picture makes me tear up. PS that's a picture of Choir Leadership. I've had so many wonderful memories with each and every one of them, and I love them all to pieces. Our Christmas party couldn't have gone any better! Merry Christmas from BAHS Choir!

snow day photoshoots

Well, winter is here, and has caused school to be closed for 3 days so far! Not to worry, we've taken plenty of pictures to keep ourselves busy. I love a good snow day, but now it's kind of messing up things that we had planned in Choir and Drama, so we need to get this ice melted and out of the way! The dogs aren't too fond of the snow, but they're getting by. The picture of all three of them in front of the fireplace took some serious effort. Treats and stern voices were used. We've also gotten to get some quality time with sweet Cass, and she's ready for Christmas! Isn't she just the cutest thing you've ever saw?! Maybe I'm biased. :)

Hunter and I went to Rhema to see the lights! It was really fun, but very cold. Very very cold.

Christmas Treats!

I've been busy at work making Christmas Treats! At the last minute, my mom and I decided to make some oreo truffles for our family. Each individual family got their own little treat. These were just your basic oreo truffles, and if you don't already have the recipe I'll put it down below! Here's what we made. By the way, this tutorial is probably totally ridiculous and self explanatory but it's fun to write them!

So just crush up your package of oreos into fine crumblies. (:
Next, you'll add a whole package of cream cheese and roll this mixture into 1 inch balls. Here's the line up!

I don't have pictures of these next few steps, but all you have to do is stick the lollipop sticks into the balls and dip them into chocolate (white or milk, I prefer white). I would suggest a tall cup for the melted chocolate, it's easier to dip. (Just Trust Me.) You can then add your choice of sprinkles! My favorite part. (:

We found some little tin cans from Target or somewhere and filled them with decorative m&m's, voila! Cute container!

Make some little signs and woah, I've pulled off looking creative. Sort of. I did think they were cute, and oh so delicious! You can't go wrong with these truffles! They're so easy to make but lovely for your tastebuds. Here's that recipe in case you were interested..

1 (16 ounce) package OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided
1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 (8 ounce) packages Baking Chocolate, melted
  1. Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.) Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
  2. Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.) Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Cheer, Number 2.

I'm obsessed with Christmas music. I have no excuse. I think it's because every song brings back memories from when I was a kid. I loved Christmas then too. I was that first grader furiously defending Santa's reliability, so don't mess with me. My very favorite Christmas CD is Michael Buble's. I simply love me some Buble. I thought it would be nice to share this lovely music with you! To go to the next songs just hit next. You probably knew that but I just wanted to be sure you knew that there was more than one song on the playlist. What's your favorite Christmas Song??

Christmas Cheer, Number 1.

You know I love Christmas. Like, to the max. Which is why I am going to enlighten you every single week with something relating to Christmas. It could be a song, a clip from one of my favorite Christmas movies, whatever my little heart desires. (: Hopefully you'll enjoy, I know I will! This week will be one of my VERY FAVORITE MOVIES EVER. The marvelous, Elf. This part always cracks me up. I quote it all the time. Without further ado, here is Elf, telling Santa that he sits on a throne of lies. Merry Christmas!!

5 Reasons why I don't participate in Black Friday.

I have always wondered why people would ever want to leave their house for Black Friday. Maybe it's tradition or something, or maybe they feel like a loser for eating so much the day before and they need to feel a sense of accomplishment. I'm sorry, but I'm a Humbug for Black Friday. Here's 10 reasons why. (:

1. Crowds of people make me feel very itchy and uncomfortable. Not to mention enveloped in nastiness and germs. I'm sorry I had to take it there.

2. I put up my Christmas Decorations on Friday! I'm very adamant on never celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving. THANKSGIVING NEEDS ITS TIME TO SHINE TOO. WITHOUT CHRISTMAS TRAMPLING ALL OVER IT AND STEALING ITS THUNDER. So the Friday after Thanksgiving is always filled with Christmas spirit and decorations! YAY!

3. It would be terribly stressful to try to get all of your Christmas items on that day. I'm sure that people don't get all of their gifts on Friday,  but you're still depending on getting items that may or may not be in stock.

4. Long lines make me very grumpy. That should be enough reason in itself.

5. My sister is in town for a very short amount of time, and I must utilize every moment with her!

CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE! I'm so excited. You simply don't know.
