Welcome to the Future.

So I was sitting in Government today and I looked around and realized.. "Oh my gosh.. this is our future. Like.. these people." Frankly, this thought freaks me out. I better mention the fact that I go to the oldest, grossest, and most GHETTO school in all of our town. I would show you a picture but I'm too embarrassed. I should also probably mention that I wasn't in an advanced class.. so yeah. BUT the fact still remains that the future generation of the world is kind of, well, not very bright. I shouldn't say that, it's bright but it's eh, about a 3 watt. Lemme just say ahead of time that I did NOT mean to cause conflict or make anyone upset, but I decided to branch out here and try a post about an issue in our world.

One issue in our teens is the fact that they have NO respect for any elder whatsoever. You should see the problems that happen at my school. The difference now days is that no punishment will make them feel any trace of guilt at all. Call your parents? They don't care. Get on to them? They laugh. Take their phone? They'll get it back soon enough. Nothing works! Our youth has become stubborn and disrespectful, and frankly it's unacceptable. I kinda feel like a teacher or a parent writing this, but I can't seem to understand why other kids don't see this too. Maybe I'm mature for my age, or maybe my parents have raised me to believe like this; whatever the case, I still believe these things are true.

I can't even tell you how many fights there has been at North. I'd say at least 20. At a very minimum. Girls are included in the 'fighting' category, in fact there has probably been just as many girl fights as there has been boy fights. In my opinion, this is just plain low. Girls fighting? Trashy. Girls, especially girls just don't fight. It's immature and very just wrong. Those are the only words I can use to describe it. I may be a goody good or something, but I would much rather be that than the words that are used to describe girls that fight. Sorry 'bout it.

Another growing problem among teen is the inability to say NO. They can't say no to basically anything! It's really not as hard as they make it seem. They can't say no to drugs, alcohol, sex, or just bad choices in general. Addiction has been a growing problem for a while now, but it's peaked in our era. Substance abusers really don't understand what is happening to their body when they give in to it that one time. You can read about that here. The amount of teen pregnancies has also drastically spiked. It's only a matter of self control and simply saying no! They also don't understand the amount of work it takes to raise a child, especially if you haven't even finished high-school. Their lives will never be the same.. ever.

This is different for me! I wanted to go out on a limb and post something that I care about, and it's a little more of a solemn tone. Don't worry! Funny stuff isn't gone, but there will be more diversity in the things that you read on Just Trust Me..! (P.S: Did you notice JTM got a little makeover??) Stay tuned for more posts about various things! Oh, and check out the new 'labels' feature that I added on the sidebar!

Just Trust Me..
