The Almost Dog Days of Summer!

Hi there! Guess what you guys. There are only 5 days of school left until Summertime adventures. How exciting!! I can't wait to be able to swim and sleep and just have fun. I am taking College Algebra with Madison at our community college, which will make me have homework, but in the long run it will prove to be very lovely to have a college class out of the way. Wanna know what else is happening this summer?! I'm going to get my license. That's right, I'll be mobile and the likes. I won't have to wait for stinkin' rides! That gets very tedious and irksome. So YAY for driving!

I looked out my window after school today and I saw my dogs just laying down and looking all tired and such, so I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of their laziness. As always, there are more pictures of Lucy than Brody because Brody despises pictures. Lucy just begs to model, so there are plenty of photos of her. (: Summer is almost here!

My Mom.

There are few people who can influence me more than my mother can. I think about what it would be like without her here and I can't even fathom it. She's my best friend, my advice-giver. She's the voice that I hear in my head telling me not to do bad things. I love hanging out with my mom. She cracks me up. I'll never forget when she told me, "Bekah, don't you ever let anybody take away your sparkle." It will forever be in my head. She cares so much about my family, and it just breaks my heart to think that I'll be leaving her in 2 years. I don't want to leave. I want to stay with my mom forever and ever. I want to always start to leave the house and her run up fast and kiss me on the cheek. I want to always laugh at the dorky but adorable things she says. I want to always watch her dance and sing to country music playing on the TV while she cleans the house. And believe it or not, I want her to always be asking me the same questions about my social life that she's continued to ask for the past 4 years. She's my mom, and I haven't realized until recently how lucky I am to have her. I've just always had such a good mom that I never really realized that I could hate my mom, or not have a mom. So I guess from all of this, I want to thank her. I want her to know how much I truly care about her, and how much I love her. She's the  best mom that I could ever ask for, and I want her to know that. If you're reading this mom, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I don't know what you did to get me to like you as much as I do, but I hope that I can someday do the same with my kids. I love you so much mommy!!

We made breakfast for my mom this morning! Here are some pictures of the deliciousness.

Thinking.

I like thinking. It's one of my all time favorite ways to pass the time. I could let my mind just wonder and wonder about all kinds of things for years. It never gets old! One of my favorite places to ponder things is my roof. I've mentioned my roof before, but I'm gonna mention it again! It's just so serene and quiet. Most of the time. Sometimes a yippy dog next door ruins the whole experience, but regardless it's still pretty lovely up there. Writing is also a wonderful thing to do on my roof.

So I encourage you to dig deep into your mind this week and just think. Find a nice place where it's only you and your thoughts. It's really good for the soul. And I sound like a hippie, so this post is ending right now.
